2019/09 | Soupir

The Soupir installation, produced specifically for the site in collaboration with Ahmet Doğu İpek and Hakan Demirel, is located at the Abdülmecit Efendi Mansion for the Child Within Me exhibition, which takes place parallel to the Istanbul Biennial. The work reflects the fatigue felt in the mansion as a "sigh" with the interventions made on the ground, taking as a reference the use of the place in the historical process. At the same time, it shows how the space can revive when left uninterrupted in natural life, without touching the original walls, ceilings and lighting.
